I wonder if someone could help me.
I have just bought a flat and when I have entered I now see cracked floor tiles in the kitchen.
Holes from were raw plugs have been taken out.
A split plasterboard wall from were a tv fixing has been taken off the wall.
Is it the sellers duty to patch this up?
None of this was there to my knowledge when I bought the place and seems obvious to me it has happened in the process of packing up.
All advice would be appreciated before I contact my estate agent

The vendor is supposed to make good any damage even if accidental before handing over keys. That said unless it is very expensive it may not be worth pursuing give your solicitor a ring in the morning and see what they advise.0

Did you go the day you exchanged and take photos?
Without that you've nothing to compare to when you bought it, it's just your word -v- theirs.
Even if so.... the legal costs of pursuing it will be more than the cost of fixing it.
This happens with most people's house purchases ... and you just sigh and fix it yourself.0 -
Understand about the floor tiles, but the holes in the wall, no chance. Get some polyfiller £2, and crack on0
