Couldn't agree more. Same goes for the minimum wage, before this was law people were paid their worth but now its treated as a target to start people on, I and many people I know were earning far more in the 80's than we are now.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0 -
However, the majority of sandwich shops are not busy for 10.5 hours non-stop but still need to be manned, so I would expect he will find there are more breaks from working despite needing to be on site. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

When it's not busy he'll have cleaning to do. Restocking the supplies, getting more bags, wiping down the tops, emptying the bins, wiping the floor, clearing the inside/outside of debris and dropped wrappings, checking/replenishing menus, wiping down tables if they have them inside/outside, wiping down the countertop, replenishing serviettes and condiments, wiping the fridges inside/out .... 1001 other jobs that need doing.theoretica wrote: »However, the majority of sandwich shops are not busy for 10.5 hours non-stop but still need to be manned, so I would expect he will find there are more breaks from working despite needing to be on site.0 -
It does? Not 20 minutes?
Ohreally was pointing out that the break has to be allowed not that it you "have to take" it. Also of course the break can be more than 20 minutes if the employer provides for this (or the worker is young).
Whilst it should not be close to the beginning or end of a shift, it does not have to be absolutely in the middle of the time.0
