Option 1 user 33% discount on mobile calls

Has anyone been sent one of these letters through the post from BT? Basically you return a coupon and get 33% of mobile phone calls. I'm looking a catch, there is always one with BT!!!! :rotfl:I just thought I'd ask you guys about your thoughts regarding this offer and if you think there are any pitfalls.

Thanks

DA!

I haven't seen the letter you have received but are BT suggesting that you should add the CallMobile discount package to your BT Together Option 1 tariff?

The CallMobile discount package is now free for BT Together Option 1 and 2 customers - assuming they agree not to move their line rental from BT for a year. (Its automatically included as part of BT Together Option 3)

They must be worried about customers leaving to have to trap them into a yearly contract.

    Don't fall for it.

I only pay 6p as it is with 18185, I wonder if they will reduce that price to match BT's 5p with discount?

I bet BT would love to block customers using other CPS services.

Cost of calls to UK Mobiles from a BT Landline.

Using 18185 (No Contract) 5p connection. 6p a minute Daytime and Evenings. 3p a minute weekends.

Using BT Callmobile from 1/8/2007 (Subject to a 1year contract). 6p connection.9p daytime. 5p evenings.

Using BT without Callmobile from 1/8/2007(No contract).6p connection. 12.5p daytime. 7.5p evenings.

The 12 month contract with BT rolls on for another year if you fail to tell them before the year is up that you want to cancel it.

And, when it rolls on, do they start charging?
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    Hi

Both a point and a question from me.

You can add a mobile as your Best friend number to get a further 15% off
thereby costing a bit over 4p evenings to a Bt CallMobile number.

    Question

Are Bt going to put Three (Hutchinson ) FM6 charge band to same as other fixed to mobile charges. Currently they seem a lot more except weekends.
