Compensation claim against airline

Hi

I am in the process of making a compensation claim against an airline and am using the Small Claims Track. The defendant has defended the claim.
Am I able to make a claim for discovery with the airline? ie the engineers report relating to the technical fault that caused the delay. Or possibly a list of other passengers and contact details so that I can find further witnesses to support my claim. This latter point would would allert other passengers to the chance of making a claim and may be a good way of focusing the airlines attention.
Does anyone have an opinion?

Thanks

Provides details of the small claims procedure.

As for the latter....they wouldn't be able to release those peoples details anyway, given the data protection act and the possibility that the airline themselves may not have the contact details, just the name.

If you're really focused on that avenue though, you could perhaps put adverts in the papers for that region or start a facebook group and ask friends to share it. Its the only way I can see for you to get in contact with others.

Crikey! That must've been quite some delay to warrant a small claims court action.

    How long was the delay?

Data protection will prevent you getting a list of passenger names, but you could try Facebook and people syaring your plea!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Delays over four hours (or three, depending on distance) can entitle each passenger to compensation of £400+. Crazy, but that's the EU for you!

They have a get out clause for technical problems beyond their control so they are defending it because they know they can't lose.

It was over 5 years ago. Is it really worth pursing this now?

Not true, there's some right epic fails from the airlines...just need to read the flight compo forums, littered with forehead slapping airline moments...

Not worth it, why not make a claim nearer the time I ask.

    No harm in trying though.
