Parking at O2 when not attending the event that's on

Going to the Brazilian restaurant at the (Greenwich) O2 later this week on a night when there's a gig on in the main arena.

Is it still possible to turn up and park in the hourly-rate car parks when there is an event on, or do all the car parks get turned into the expensive event ones?

I found the O2 website not very clear on this.

Thanks for any advice!

You can park but it's always expensive. You could try North Greenwich tube station car-park which is cheaper. Enjoy your meal.
  • Thanks - the O2 website says £7 for 2-4 hours, but the North Greenwich station says £11, so will try the O2 and fall back on the station if necessary.

Jeez - I'd use public transport!
  • I normally would, but the trains stop too early on this occasion.

Just in case anyone looks at this in future, all the O2 carparks were indeed reserved for event parking (£30 on the spot), so there was no option to use their hourly rate car parks.
