Well hello there everyone. Ashamed to say latter of my planning went to bits last week with all that happened so will try to stick better this time!!
Nova5 I do brocolli and cauli grills sometimes. I usually mix them after chopping up small (could mash but I prefer chunkier) some bread crumbs and half an egg in, pat with a little flour then dip in left over egg then breadcrumbs, yummy! Going to do some sort of veg burgers this week fancy it now you've mentioned it.
Meals are just main meals, loads in for lunches and breakfasts, veg depends what needs using and the weather. Need to doa few batch cooks as running low since holidays.
Saturday - DP & kids hm beef burgers, me veg ones with wedges, salad etc
Sunday - DP doing overtime so doing steak stew instead of roast (bulk cook for freezer)
Monday - Chilli (inc batch cook for freezer) for us with rice, fish for the kids
Tuesday - Sausages, egg, chips & beans
Wednesday - Chicken kebabs for us and in bread crumbs for the kids
Thursday - Ravioli (italian sausage and mozzerella that needs using inside) in tomato and veg sauce with garlic dough balls. Sausage rolls for the kids.
Friday - Omlette for DP, prawn and veg currry for me, chicken something for the kids. One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -

Dough balls just make pizza dough in BM, roll into as big a ball as you like (I do them golf ball size) and 'paint' with melted garlic butter before baking, or you could put a little well in it and put solid garlic butter inside. I use this recipe for garlic butter but can alter to taste.
4 tsp Butter or Margarine4 tsp Minced Garlic1 tbsp Mixed Herbs1 tbsp Oregano
They cook VERY quickly within about 7-10 minutes for me at the size I do so you have to watch them. Could add cheese if you prefer but I don't usually.
Chicken kebabs are a fave of DPs. Can either do just chicken pieces, sliced then marinade in chilli, mixed herbs and a little olive oil then grilled or fried (I use my George) then use them to fill pita breads or tortillas. Great with a garlic sauce (mayo, garlic, italian seasoning and water) Bit more fiddly but my fave is putting peppers, mushrooms etc on skewers..I usually serve with wedges and a salad. If my sons are having the kebabs I go easy on the chilli and marinade for less time, oh and cut the points off the skewers! They aren't allowed the metal ones.
Might sound a bit fancy but those are my 'quick and easy' mealsOne day I might be more organised...........
