My wife recently won her appeal for ESA and was placed in the WRAG she has been told that the benefit will cease from April 2014 as she will have reached the 365 day maximum at that time.
She has no other income of her own, I have a works pension, will there be any other options available to her after this benefite expires ?
Thankyou

Depending on the amount of the pension, she may get something from ESA.
If however it's high enough, she won't get anything.
If her condition worsens, she may request that her case is looked at again, and in principle she could be found eligible for the support group.
This would mean that her ESA restarts at the support group rates.
Applying for PIP may also be possible - https://www.gov.uk/pip/overview - if she has care or mobility needs. Both can be paid at once.0 -
When her contribution based ESA ends then she will be assessed for income based ESA.
This is assessed on household income and savings so anything that you have as income plus hers and your savings will be taken into account.
How old are you both?0 -

When it ends she & you will be limited to means tested benefits.
However, what was she doing in March 2013? Was she on Incapacity Benefit or working?0 -
