    Not 'kosher' to tie such a deal in the house purchase, but there is nothing to stop the buyer offering this separately from the house sale.

    £10k would probably be challenged. Up to £5k unlikely. HMRC have to prioritise their workload and it's not worth them chasing small amounts.

    As long as the value is reasonable. I wouldn't want to risk doing this to evade tax.
