Hi,
I've decided to open a stocks and shares ISA through moneysupermarket and the Cofunds platform. I plan on investing in the HSBC FTSE All Share Tracker but I'd also like to choose a popular global tracker too. Only problems is I can seem to find any good recommendations for which to choose. Does anybody have any suggestions?
I'd like to stick with one I can get through Cofunds and do everyting in one place. Thanks in advance.

The HSBC FTSE AS is a defined index - you know to 99% exactly what you are getting and which companies it holds. Global trackers are different in that each varies with its country and asset weightings. Some are very heavy US and others are less so.
You will,of course, almost always get a significant chunk of the UK included which will duplicate the holdings you have in the FTSE AS.
My personal recommendation would be the Vanguard ETF VWRL which includes UK or the Vanguard OEIC GPVAN5TR which excludes UK to prevent duplication with your FTSE AS.
As ever, DYOR as these are personal thoughts only.Old dog but always delighted to learn new tricks!0 -
