    Morning all,

I've been MiA for more than a few days but I have been reading the threads :)

Today we have our usual trip to Mr T's and then this afternoon we might tootle along to the park and feed the ducks and have a run around - Frog not me obviously! I'm stating to feel the effects of being more tubby now, I get puffed out much quicker now that my lung space is being squashed by Bob :o

DH won't be in for dinner as he's working until 7pm, assuming he finishes on time anyway so I shall have a rummage in the freezer. Frog will have HM chicken burgers and veg for her dinner.

I was trying to reduce the freezer contents so that I could out bits in there for Christmas but suddenly it's bursting at the seams again. I've now got no room for the sausage rolls I was thinking of making

Hoe you all have a great day xx

Ha Tru - add an excitable Labrador and I'm in the same boat! - OH can't wrap either, last year he used a whole roll of paper on one shoebox sized present (How!?)

Thanks for the birthday wishes. The tea party was AMAZING. Just so much fun and the food was to die for. AND he proposed. YAY.

So a very tired, but happy Gonzo at work today.

    Morning all,

Gonzo glad you had a great birthday, and Congratulations:smileyhea

Hope your all well. I'm feeling very happy as I'm without toothache for the first time in about 18 months. My mouth is finally healing and I really want to ring the dentist and say I TOLD YOU SO! Anyway I shall save my smugness until after Christmas when I have my bridge fitted.
Now I have got rid of that I need to concentrate on losing some weight if I can, I know its a strange time to begin but I could have put another stone on by Christmas
Just one present left to buy and hubby needs to wrap it, he's so much better than me.
We are off to the Chistmas markets this evening and a quick drink with our future in laws, hopefully won't be too late a night.
I have my pre op in the morning ready for my new op date on 6th Jan
Have a great Monday all x

    Morning all,

sitting here in a trance trying to wake up properly, I take the nasty tablets Sunday night so I spend today feeling more weird than normal as they screw up my stomach.

Moving the freezers went well as my excellent neighbour put his head over the wall at exactly the moment when DH realised that it was going wrong. What a lovely couple they are - they took over and made DH feel useful at the same time. The big fridge/freezer is now in their garage as it wouldn't go into ours. Today I must sort out the contents in the new freezer as they are all jumbled up.

Dinner tonight is a beef casserole that I found lurking. Today I MUST iron - after I've had a cuppa!
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
  • Not been feeling too great the last couple of days, I have a huge cold sore and feel pretty bleurgh.

DD went into work this morning and the area manager was there and just said that is it you are all redundant and closed the shop there and then. She has to go in on Wednesday for her redundancy meeting. I feel sorry for her boss he has got a young family to support.
No news from the interview she had last week so things are looking pretty bleak :(

I managed to wrap a few presents last night, but still have more to do later if I feel like it.

    Sausage casserole tonight.

    JackieO enjoy yourself

Sorry Butterfly for your DD. Our kids have it very hard on the work front.
Tru - Annie Lennox is my favourite christmas CD too xx

Well have started some christmas preparations but need to decorate my tree. DS2 will help me - he is my angel :A DD has gone back to uni very snotty and should have stayed in bed but she could not miss her lectures x

I had a blazing row with my mother over her unreasonable demands. She is a baggage and has always been so but now I can't ignore her and have to care for my poor Dad. She has a knack of making me feel like a naughty child :(

Right snoozing for me as I just took some of my knock out pills x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Hi all; sunshine and reasonably warm far December, which bodes well for the washing I have out on the whirligig today.
    Hoppy Birdday to nmlc's DS.
    Laura how's Sammy-Cat's poorly leg?

Butterfly Brain so sorry to hear about DD's job – what an awful thing to happen, no warning, nothing.:(

Molly – posi-vibes coming your way (plus a cuddle or two for those lovely woofers).

Plumbers have been back again.:( During the evening yesterday I noticed there was a wet patch on the hall carpet. Mr LW had cleaned the car with a bucket and sponge earlier in the day, so we assumed he'd somehow managed to slop water out of the bucket, so we mopped up and thought no more of it. Come bedtime, it was soaking again :( - first thought - was the loft tank leaking? No, there was no wet patch on the ceiling (phew!!) - so then we checked in the airing cupboard.

Tap for the stopc0ck was dripping.:( So we put an old margarine tub to catch the drips; Mr LW called the plumbers as soon as he got to work today, and they were here just after 10:30. Turns out the limescale was the only thing holding it all together, and when they turned it off to do work on the loo the other day, they must've disturbed the limescale.
Anyways, they've replaced it, there's no more leak,:T and my bank account is £57 lighter.

Interestingly, the plumber we used to use (he's no longer trading) patched the stopc0ck up some years back when Mr LW was of the opinion it should have been replaced then - but was told it would be fine. I wonder if that chap just couldn't be bothered to do a fiddly job, maybe??

I have to say though, the chaps we use now are very good, they turn up when they say they will, and don't leave a horrible mess.:T
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Afternoon,

I'm on really late today. I decided to have a relaxing day today and just spend it with the girls. I did have things to do but just did them when I felt like it, and somehow washed and dried 3 loads of washing, made rolls and a loaf... And the house looks tidy! Yet I spent ages with the girls too...

... Might need to do that more often!

DS called though and didn't book the late bus, so I have to drag the girls out to go collect him! I'm not impressed!!

Dinner was supposed to be pea & ham soup, but the peas didn't get soaked (whoops) so we're having egg fried pasta and Bockwursten with the rolls I made for the soup! Makes my life easier :)

Hope everyone had a good day x

Ps. Butterfly Brain ((hugs)) to DD! So close to Christmas too :(

    Afternoon All,

Gosh such a busy period for us. We were down in Dublin for a family wedding over the weekend. My cousin's daughter got married and it was a wonderful wedding and celebration. The wedding was in All Saints Raheny, which is where Bono (U2) was married in 1982, but our Sharon was the celebrity this time around! The church was built in 1881 by Arthur Guinness and he and his wife are entombed there.

Tomorrow we are driving from Cairnryan to Kent, to see my OH's folks, for 10 days. Not sure whether to stop with Judi on the way down or not! ;) We are staying in Ashford but going to Folkestone and Dover to see family, so will be close to some others.

Will try and look in on the iPAD, if time permits, but if I don't I hope everyone's Christmas preparations go to plan.
