How do companies choose their Facebook L&S winners?

Do you think it matters when you "share" the post? Do you think you have more chance of winning if you share near the competitions end? Someone the other day said that companies can't see all the shares on a post, even all the public ones, so not everyone "goes into the hat." I was wondering if anyone believed that was true?
How would a company be able to choose a winner from thousands and thousands of shares? It would take an awful long time to put them in a randomiser!
Any thoughts, please?

I honestly think they just pick a name, I can't see them adding every name to a rng unless there are only a few names. Who knows lol xA strong man stands up for himself, a stronger man stands up for others.0

hey my friend works for lastminute, she says that they assign all the likes a number then use a random number generator and pick one. they can then check that persons page to see if they shared and if not pick another one.Starting afresh - comping as much as poss!
Hoping for: some beauty goods, clothes, amazon vouchers, anime, manga, wardrobe, fridge freezer, laptop, an ipad, vouchers for next, exercise goods, a uk break and a wee hol somewhere nice!
Wishing all a little luck:beer:0 -

How do they assign a number to every like? Is it an automatic process or do they have go through all the likes!2019 Wins

For example i think its Home Bargains, their comps usually have over 40 thousand likes,,, ( in 30 mins cough cough) but surely they cannot assign a number to each and then count through them to find the winner?2025 Wins ::
