Budget Planners

Just a quick question about using budget planners. I tried completing one and said that I overspend every month and am actually in debt. This is not the case, I actually save about £1000 each month. Why is this put in the outgoings (along with ISA's etc) if you still have the money? Any help much appreciated.

It doesnt sound like you have filled out the form properly in that case. 2 + 2 is always 4, it doesnt magically equal 3.5. If the budget planner says you are falling into debt, either you are and are in denial or you have entered your figures incorrectly and in the wrong sections.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

I don't know which budget planner you're using, but if you're specifying a savings amount, it probably treats that as an outgoing because it's money you can't allocate for other things. If, for example, you put down income of £2,000, monthly savings of £1,000 and bills/outgoings of £1,001, then it'll look like you're spending more than you earn.0
