Playmonday - New Version - New Prizes - Support Your Favourite Charity EVERY Week!

The newly launched Playmonday Lottery has changed. They are now offering new exciting prizes including a £10 Million first prize as part of the Monday Super Draw, but perhaps most importantly, you can choose which charity you wish to support each week. Therefore, you can nominate Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre to receive the 20p for every £1 ticket you buy, every week you play.

The live televised draw takes place at 8:50 pm every Monday on Sky Channel 157 Hollywood TV.

Playmonday have also introduced additional games, Play Four and Play Three where you can win £50,000 for getting the 4 numbers drawn or £10,000 for getting the 3 numbers drawn, for each separate game.

For full details please go to the Playmonday The Charity Draw website - http://www.playmonday.com/?charId=40&refld=1033731

I feel awkward making this comment because it looks like I'm putting a downer on this as well as the naff cashback sites but I do have a question:-

Didn't they use to pay out 30p to charities not the 20p they now quote. Also its interesting to note that while charity donations have gone down they expenses appear to have increased.

    Hi eek,

Yes, the charity contribution has gone down from 30p to 20p per £1. Playmondays was owned by Chariot, but was sold a few months ago to the new owners, who have revamped the whole enterprise, increased the prize money, introduced new games and also have the draw live on Sky TV now.

They have also reorganised the lottery to hopefully be more viable produce more public awareness, Chariot spent £8M (!) on advertising before the Monday lottery went "live" originally, and I am sorry to say that was a hell of a waste of money as no one had a clue what it was about.

The most exciting thing from a charity point of view is that people can now nominate whichever charity they want, each week, and are not limited to a choice of only 5 per week as before, thus giving all the charities much more scope for publicising the lottery and hopefully raising much more revenue over the long-term from each week's draw, especially when the lottery becomes more "visible".

For more information can I suggest having a look at the Playmondays site and FAQ.
