Slow cooker question

I LOVE mine
Curries, soups, stews - all brilliant!
chicken thighs, chopped onion and chopped carrot covered in a fajita seasoning pack and two tubs of salsa. Yummy!
I also cook meat - mine holds two chickens, or three ham hocks (morrisons) over lentils - brisket, cook in water with veggies then thicken for gravy.
I love it.
We both work and have two slow cooked meals a week, at least.0 -
Another slow cooker fan over here
I use it on Wednesdays as I leave the house at 7.20am but don't get in until 8.30pm. Brilliant for tougher cuts of meat or even for doing a whole chicken. Potatoes and other root veg are great in there too but I wouldn't do rice, pasta or finer veg in there (these are so quick to cook, however, that you can pop the water on to boil as soon as you get in and by the time you've got changed etc it's ready).
I've never had any problem leaving it on (using the low setting) for the 13 hours stated above.0 -
I've some lovely chicken and sausages cooking in mine currently, saves a lot of time and hassle cooking when I get in from work and I don't mind eating alone when it looks and smells so good for little effort.0
