Does it display any pages at all?
What is the text in the little boxes that pop up?
What version of Internet Explorer?
Are all web browsers affected, or only Internet Explorer?0 -
It displays pages, it can work ok then start to go wrong, saying IE has stopped working etc....needs to close etc, happens a lot if I google or go on facebook, Firefox is ok, though on some FB pages its funny. It's the new version 9?0

Yes it may well do. Normally when you upgrade from 8 to 8.1, IE11 is installed as part of the process. You have probably jumped the gun installing IE11 before upgrading to 8.1... Run IE without add-ons by pressing WIN+R, then typing iexplore -extoff.
If it runs, click the tool icon and go to internet options. Click to the advanced tab, and then click reset. You'll need to restart the computer, but it should work.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. If you enable the add ons one by one you will find out which is the offending one and can get rid of it and still use the others if they are useful.0 -
I too have an Asus laptop which I got this year. I have the same problem with IE and am going to reset it now but I also cannot install windows 8.1. It goes through the process but gets to the end and says it cant install it.Smile though your bank is breaking:)0
