Updated Regular Savings?

I am a complete Forum newbie so please forgive if this is not news but has anyone noticed that you can get 2.5% for saving £1000 per month with nationwide? Seems a good place to put instant access money that is languishing in some lesser interest accounts. Unless I've got it completely wrong! Any comments?

Yes, it is in the Regular Savers thread, in one of the first few posts, which are being regularly updated: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/6932895#Comment_69328950

In fact Nationwide pays up to 2.5% gross on its Regular Savings. The catch is that you only earn any interest in months when the balance increases.

Don't forget that the balance must increase by at least £500 to get that 2.5% rate.
Likewise, saving £300/month with First Direct gets you 6%.

Yes I see how that works now. Thank you.0
