Mine's fairly easy. As I'm starting with the small weeks I've written it in my diary for every Monday. And then transfer it every Monday and tick it off when done. But it also corresponds for me in my diary as each Monday it has printed which week we're on. :D

Not sure I'd keep track otherwise especially once the bank balance starts increasing.

I have a spreadsheet where the week number and the expected saving for that week is listed. When I make the saving, I change the colour of the cell.

I am saving the full monthly amount at the start of each month, so there are 5 cells coloured in on my spreadsheet so far. I will be doing February's saving and cell colouring next Saturday :ad

Aha. I like the spreadsheet idea. Think I might start by putting myself reminders on my phone.

I copied and pasted Splodges (Thanks Splodge on first page :)) calculations for each month - that sits on the desktop and each pay day I plan to put that months amount into my new CU account - so next week I will be depositing £42 - I am travelling forward at the minute;)

  • Hello all!

Glad we've resolved the totals issue! have paid in month 2 today and updated my signature (i just use it to keep tabs). :) nearly got enough to open a 6 month bond at metro bank! that's my goal for next month, anyway.

I'm still here!! I keep a spreadsheet, and I'm doing it a bit different (again), I'm saving the smaller weeks and filling them in as I go, then when I have a fair amount of money in, I divide the amount amongst some of the bigger weeks, and fill those in, and unfill the small weeks to start again, if that makes sense? I just know me too well, I'll find the larger weeks too hard to do, and will give up further in the year. But if I do it this way, I stand more of a chance. Hopefully as the year goes on, I'll have found a way to get as many of the big ones filled in as possible. At the moment, I've saved €71.
