dwarf peppers and growing lettuce help please
hi sorry to be asking more questions!
im growing veg for first time, really enjoying it but dont really know what im doing!!!
have got some peppers that are doing well, they say they are a dwarf variety, does this mean the actual peppers will be smaller than normal or just the size of the plant? How will i know they are ready to pick, i've got both red and green ones
also i've planted some lettuce seeds, its a cut and come again variety pack , roughly how long do you think it would be before i have something to pick?they are indoors in utility room (conservatory type structure , but not as posh!!! with no heating )
thanks in advance for any help

Hi donna,
I'm fairly new to gardening too but I think dwarf usually refers to the plant and not the fruit.
The cut and come again lettuce that I've planted outdoors is taking about three weeks from planting to picking at the moment.

Pink-winged is right, if it's dwarf it means the plant is smaller. But the fruit may be smaller as well, because some dwarf plants don't grow full-sized fruit.
With most peppers, the green fruits are immature ones, and will ripen to red, yellow, or orange if left to ripen.0
