Why does Yahoo come up when I open Chrome?

Each time I open Chrome it brings up a yahoo search engine alongside it. I've been in the Chrome settings, and double checked the search engine stuff etc and I am at a loss as to how to get rid of it, it's so annoying and I have no idea where it's come from. Thanks in advance.

Chrome settings/On Startup. open a specific page or set of pages/Enter the page you want opening on startup.
If necessary Show Home Button and change to page you want when you click on Home (The little House).

There's also a "Search" function where you can set the search engine you want.

I ran what you said dogmaryxx but it's still doing it. I just noticed as it was trying to load it was a bit slow and this was in the address bar: http://uk.search.yahoo.com/?type=714647&fr=spigot-yhp-ch

If you go to 'Settings' within Chrome what web address is displayed under 'Show Home Button'?

Also check the 'Extensions' tab that there is no Yahoo toolbar/search add-on installed, if so then remove it.

Under 'on start up' open a specific page 'set page' it had the yahoo address so I clicked on the cross and it's solved it. Will it have completely gone or will it be hiding somewhere? Thanks
