Soworried- where do you get prawn crackers you cook yourself?
I've never seen them? Are they much more cost effective?
    :)

I buy them from the chinese supermarket for £2 a kilo. That lasts us for around 3 months as snacks and to go with meals. To make a takeaway size portion costs us around 5p :T

We stuck to plan most of last week, although Saturday DH fancied KFC at lunchtime so we didn't need a big meal in the evening so I made egg & HM chips.

    Starting yesterday:

S - duck breast, roast potatoes, roasted carrots, cabbage & green beans
M - mushroom chasseur (need to use the mushrooms as this was what were going to have Saturday night!)
T - cauliflower cheese - needs using up and DH requested (he doesn't do veggie food if he can avoid it so I just chop up a couple of bacon rashers and add to it so he can't complain it's veggie, LOL
W - chicken stuffed with cream cheese & wrapped in bacon, mash & brocolli
T - SC beef stew, mash
    F - kedgeree
S - LO beef stew, mash

Hi all, was absent last week, as work is taking it out of me; and i was just grabbing whatever was edible. My shifts have changed again this week so i need to accommodate this in the meal plan. Shopping has just arrived however, and i am nicely stocked up and inventoried, so going to start as i mean to go on.

Tonight: [STRIKE]Quorn meatballs in Arriabatta sauce with spaghetti or pasta shapes[/STRIKE]
Tuesday: [STRIKE]Mackerel, new potatoes, green beans and corn on the cob[/STRIKE]
DD2 will have Tuna and pasta
Subject to change as forgot it is Christmas play!!
Wednesday: Hoisin prawns with noodles and chinese veg
DDs: Possibly pizza Now changed to Sweet and Sour with rice
Thursday: Jacket potato, cheese and coleslaw with salad (as on split shift).
DDs: Veggie hotdogs and Beans on toast
Friday: Burgers and actifry chips/onion rings and peas (on split shift again)
DDs: Quorn Southern fried bites and chips
Saturday: TBC ... hopefully try something new or something we haven't had for a while
Sunday: Quorn sausages, cheese and chive mash, carrot and swede, and cauliflower
DD1 will have brocolli and no cheese and chives, and DD2 with also just have plain mash

Fingers crossed we can stick to plan.
