Ah ok, I thought the other one would be built before this one closed. The store is going to close then they are going to build a new one so there will be a gap
I would expect then that they will either make redundant if there is a gap or they will temporary redeploy to other sites until it is built.

4 months, but my wife only works 3 hours a day and walks to work. If she had to use public transport to get to another store it wouldn't be worth it0 -

Thats what I would expect to happen. The store is going to close then they are going to build a new one so there will be a gap
Sounds like its not been planned very well, so its definite a new store is planned ?0 -
Quite often you find the shift staff to the next nearest store until the new store is complete. I know that sainsburys covered the transport cost when they took over some of the gateway stores. they will try and get any left over annual leave used up over this time.0

Oh didn't see this post. The store is going to close then they are going to build a new one so there will be a gap
So they have started building it, got planning? Things can change very quickly and it takes over 18 months to build a new supermarket. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
