Isme.com could not find my address so refused credit account

I hope this is the right place for my question
I tried to open a new account and make a first order with isme.com. During registration when I put in my house number and postcode it said it could not find my address. I had to put my address in myself but as I went through the process it then said I could not have a credit account because they could not find my address and suggested that I contact Equifax. It then proceeded to say I could have the goods if I paid cash there and then.
I decided not to continue with the purchase although my account has been set up but without credit option now.
What I am concerned about is will this go down as a refused credit on my rating? My house was built in the 1930's and I've never come across this problem and I purchase almost everything online
