Beware of comparethemarket.com

Just a quick bit of advice for anyone using this site. To opt out of your info being sold to 3rd parties you need to visit their Terms & Conditions link and check the boxes in there. I used the site and within 24 hours was receiving calls from 3rd party companies, when I asked where they got my details I was advised it was from Comparethemarket.com and they had no problem removing my details from their system and apologised.
I have now emailed comparethemarket and await their response.
I always check the no 3rd party etc boxes and only missed this one as it wasnt on the main screens as with virtually every other insurance site. Oh and the quote was way higher too.

Comparethemarket are extremely annoying
I didnt ask them to give out my details so they didnt, however they are calling me 50 odd times a day.. Basically every 5mins until such time that the trading hours are over.
I have told them to remove me, but apparantly if you call them back, the system puts your details back on again, and the saga continues.
I have reported them to TPS, asked Compare for a written Apology and if all else fails, OFCOM it is.
DO NOT USE THEM, IF YOU DO, PUT A DUFF NUMBER IN THE BOX.0
