Extra hanging rail needed in wardrobe

Help I need one of those things that you attach to your existing hanging rail to give you another rail lower down. It isfor the kids wardrobes which are too high for them to reach so they never hang up their clothes.
I can't think what they are called but I know I have seen them before I just wish I had bought them when I saw them first then I wouldn't have spend hours trawling the internet with no luck.
Can anyone help - please tell me they exist and I am not going mad!!!

They do exist, sound like the sort of thing the Kleeneze (sp?) catalogue would have in, you know, the catalogue they deliver to your door.
What about Lakeland?

I put a second rail half way down in my kids wardrobe but I just bought extra brackets and a pole and fixed them in at the right height. This way I can put out of season clothes on the top rail and the stuff they're wearing where they can reach.:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0

I've def seen one ina catalogue or on-line can't remember where though, it'll have been some sort of organiser compay eg ikea, the holding company, lakeland etc. When I saw them I did wonder how sturdy they were and how much extra weight they would take though.
We had DD wardrode made and my FIL put in an extra rod and brackets, I'm guessing he got them from a diy shop.0 -
You can get the poles and little cup-type brackets in most DIY centres in the area where they have hooks, knobs and that sort of thing. We modified our kids wardrobes in this way.....didn't mean they hung anything up though!0

We have already done that in one of the wardrobes but it was a real pain to do and we are in Forces accomodation so really shouldn't do alterations.
Thanks anyway0 -

the hanging cubes might be a useful addition if a 78cm rail isn't enough - or maybe another rail?'bad mothers club' member 13

It would be worth looking in hardware shops: I know when I couldn't see the towel rail I wanted a few years ago someone pointed me to lengths of rail with cup sockets, but in a wardrobe the rail by itself could have been hung from the higher rail with strong cord!Signature removed for peace of mind0
