W7 power saving problem

Recent problem that has just appeared. I have the computer to switch off the monitor after 10 mins, and the computer after 15 mins to sleep mode. Over the last few days it has been intermittant, sometimes working and sometimes not. Any ideas??

Could be any number of different things.
As this is a fairly recent problem, have you added any new software or hardware in that time.

The only new hardware has been a modem/router. Earlier, I set the times for off earlier and all worked ok, but then reverted back to staying on again. Am going to reset the sleep settings now to see if anything works again!!As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0 -
If the problem persists, then work your way through the trouble shooting guide as in my link above. It will be a gradual process of elimination.
