Does a mistake on a council Ticket invalidate?

I received a ticket from the council but they made a mistake on the ticket. The put 0 instead of O therefore you cannot find the fine by using the correct reg on their website. The have my TAX disc No. and photos of the car but I was wondering if the mistake invalidates it. Someone mentioned I should just ignore it as the reg
would not come up with the right address details but I thought they would surely just use the tax disc no to case it up.

Thanks

James

How do you know that the person who wrote the ticket does not write it like that?

Its a council ticket the last thing you want to do is ignore it.

Is it hand written or printed, either way I don't think it is enough of a flaw to take the risk of ignoring it.

Some mistakes are more fatal than others but I would think arguing the toss over a handwritten o as opposed to 0 is going be a hard one - esp as they are very likely to get your details.

The only way to see is to wait for the NTK to arrive, or not but you will have lost any discount time by then. So maybe better to assume they will read it as a zero, get yourself over to Pepipoo and get a proper challenge together. :)

If it was a printed ticket, I would keep it and wait to see if an NTO arrives in the coming months. You may well hear nothing is this is a flaw whch may mean they cannot proceed - and even if you get a NTO you would have appeal points including the flawed PCN.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
