EBay not honouring vouchers from nectar points

Having spent nearly 4 hours yesterday being passed backwards and forwards between ebay and paypal, having them blame each other, the computer I was using, the software I'm running (I tried on 4 different computers, some PC some Mac, some mobile, on different IPs etc!) and the pahse of the moon, I got nowhere when I tried to pay for items using the £40 voucher I'd exchanged my nectar points for!!
To say I'm annoyed doesn't even begin to cover it!
I'd get as far as the final click and confirm page, and then it would give me an error message every time, which instructed me to call them if I received that message more than once. I tried contacting both of them again today, only for them to go back into blaming one another mode, and then on another attempt just now, ebay told me that they no longer have the credit to honour any vouchers people have, and that they may reinstate these in the new year when they have more credit, and in the meantime will hold on to my £40 so I can't spend it!! Is this anywhere near legal?! Is there anything I can do to sort this out?! Someone please help, its dirving me mad trying to deal with so many different stories from their customer service desk, and can't find anything on ebay site to explain this!

I have had the same problem. Ebay just told me the fault was with Nectar and I need to take it up with them. I will try to spend them again to see what happens.0 -
techspec - lucky you!
Hermia - I've had a different excuse from each person I've spoken to! No idea what the lack of credit one means! Have also contacted Nectar but they've yet to reply. If you manage to work it out, I'd be very grateful if you could let me know how you did?

adarajames - my order just went through okay so it might be worth you trying again. The one difference with this order is that I was paying for the whole thing with vouchers. Before it was a part payment. I'm not sure whether that would make a difference, but it was the only thing I was doing different this time. I certainly won't be using nectar on ebay again!0

Hermia - tried countless times over last 2 days, on various different computers/mobiles, all without any joy! Am trying to pay the whole amount with vouchers. :mad:0
