returned item to online seller

Hi, I recently returned a Tablet I bought last Christmas as it had stopped taking a charge. After contacting the seller, they told me to return it to them & they would send a replacement. Then they emailed me again to say they would repair it. I sent it back to them at the start of November but despite various emails to them, they fail to respond & I haven't had a replacement/repaired item sent back. The item cost £112.99, what are my rights now?

If the item was inherently faulty then you have the right to repair, replacement or refund (possibly reduced to account for the years usage you have had). If the item is not inherently faulty then you have the right to have it back from the seller.

However did you arrange your own return? If so do you have proof that the courier delivered the tablet? If it wasn't delivered and you arranged the delivery yourself then the seller doesn't owe you anything and you would have to chase the courier.

Hi, yes I organised my own return but I did so via special delivery so I have the post office confirmation that the tablet was received. However, ever since I sent it back, they haven't responded to any emails.
The tablet worked for approx 4 months, but we bought another charger 1st just in case it was that rather than an issue with the tablet.
