Parking eye parking charge notice

Hi

As part of my work I spent a day in one of my employers stores on a retail park. When I arrived at the store I notified the store colleagues of my registration.

This morning I received a Parking charge notice from Parking Eye

What proof could I submit in order to be able to appeal this notice? Or would I be better talking to my employer in the first instance?

Thanks

please read the newbies thread at the top of the forum as all topics are covered within it

ideally you get the charge cancelled by the landowner or his agents, but as you never mentioned the region of the uk then its impossible to advise you as different rules apply in different "countries"
  • Sorry, it was in England

I'll be in the office on Monday so would my employer be the landowners in this case and be able to cancel the charge? Or would I need to speak to the retail park owners?

there is no way anybody here can tell you who the landowner is , you would have to ascertain that yourself, if necessary by paying a fee to the land registry

normal practice is to google it, ask the retailers etc

Start with the employer, no need to faff about finding out who the landowner is.

And in the meantime do a simple online appeal on Sunday to ParkingEye, to get the ball rolling to get yourself a POPLA code (explained in the 'NEWBIES READ THIS FIRST' thread at the top). State that you are the registered keeper and that ''the driver'' {third person!} had permission to park from the employer so there must have been a failure of their 'white list' exempt vehicles procedures with xxxxxxxx {your company}. As such, there was clearly no loss caused and indeed the only contract the driver entered into was with the employer - wholly reliant upon the car registration in fact being on an exempt list so you expect ParkingEye to check the list again. And the driver will be complaining to the employer about the actions of the parking agent in harassing an exempt employee.

If you get a rejection (unlikely in these circs) then see the newbies thread for how to win at POPLA.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
