How long until ebay scrap listing fees?

How much longer do you think ebay will charge listing fees.
It seems like half the time now, there are free listing days, so do you think they will scrap the fees altogether?

Yes I can see listing fees possibly disappearing if Ebay continue to insist on taking their 10%+vat cut of the buyers p&p payment.
I'm sure they must have noticed a huge reduction in paid listings from private sellers since they implemented the p&p commission profit making scheme.
I know a lot of people say Ebay wants to be rid of small private sellers, but they do generate profit & as profit seems to be all Ebay is interested in, then they would be biting off their nose to spite their faces to give private sellers the boot.
As a private seller I only list when it's free now. Because of the p&p commission, I am now subsidizing the cost of packaging & often some of the post/courier costs as I know if p&p is too expensive then buyers are just not interested. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
I too, as a private seller only list on free listing days, which is why I was really annoyed I have not been invited to the last two offers.
I did have a flash message on the left hand of my screen, so listed an item on the last offer but was charged.
Pointed this out to ebay who refunded me my fee and pointed out that I have 100 free 99p listings available.
I pointed out I stand to make around 30-40p if items sells at 99p, and that I hope in the New Year they will consider either free listings all year round or raise the 100 x 99p listings to 4.99.
They said "point taken". !!!!Looking forward to the day I have nothing left to list on eBay0 -
10% PLUS VAT? Wow, worse than I thought.
Insertion/listing fees
Final value fees
paypal fees (they pretty much insist all users use it, owned by eBay)
Noe postage fees.
Cannot even go to gumtree.
You guessed it, gumtree is owned by eBay also.
I hate this world sometimes.
RichardStop the world, I want to get off.

What's stopping you going to gumtree? Gumtree is not the same as ebay but you can list for free and pay no fees. Who cares who it's owned by if you're not paying them?0
