EDF - 2 Final Bills

  • Ha ha. I'm not upset nor do I work for a circus.

I was just making a judgment based on the way the two people who replied to my question immediately came at it from an angle of 'just pay them'. It wasn't very helpful. And indeed both seem to have a life dedicated to all hours replying (managing?) on this forum.

If I were running an electricity company I would certainly have people working to manage these forums. Pushing people towards satisfying the payment of vast French pensions.

As my last reply said, I'm prepared to test this and have taken legal advice to that end. Yes, we could all just roll over like my two friends on this thread seem to want everyone to do, or we could fight for what we believe is right. Luckily, I have the resources to fight. Grrrr. Merry Christmas! :xmassmile

Don't like subsidising the French state? Go with a different provider.

The advice given has been fair and accurate. If you were self employed and noticed you'd sent out an incorrect invoice, you'd hope the law would protect you.

I don't believe for a second that ValHaller or macman are plants by energy companies. They have enough millions of customers without worrying about the trickle that come on here every day.

You asked for advice, you've been given it. Grow up and accept it, or waste money, time and effort going down the legal route.
  • And now I see you're deleting evidence of your folly. How refreshingly juvenile.

If you are saying I am telling you to roll over (or indeed that macman is), you are a liar as well as a fool.

There is no point in going to court on on an argument based on a totally flawed understanding of contract law. Which is why I have urged you to engage with getting to the bottom of what the correct billing would be.

A court will always uphold the correct billing if it is put to them. Unfortunately for you
    • EdF will argue that their bill is correct
    • You, being a fool, will argue that the correct bill does not matter, contract law says they cannot correct their bill
The court does not have time for fools, it will not sit down and work out the correct bill for you. The court will dismiss your fanciful argument as a matter of law and will have no alternative but to accept that EdF is correct as a matter of fact, because you will not argue that the bill should be anything different.

Plus you will end up paying costs.

PS: Deleting posts because you don't like the answers is puerile
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'
