iPad Air Apple Tablet...is it worth the extra money?

I'm thinking of getting the Apple iPad air tablet (38mb?) but not sure if I would just be paying for the name? I have researched as much as possible, but can't really get any first hand views. Does anyone have one and would they recommend it or not?

I thought it felt really nice in the shop, a defo improvement. Ended up buying a surface 2 though. Best bit of kit I've ever used

I think it's worth it. Given the choice between my over 2 and a half year old iPad 2, and a brand new Android or Windows tablet, I'd chose my old iPad 2.
When I decide to replace it I'll replace it with whatever the newest iPad is. My mother is still happily using an over 3 and a half year old original iPad.0
