Gravel stabilizer - Has anyone seen this, please?

www.landscaping.co.uk You'd need to wait for the honeycomb product to appear then click.Has anyone seen this 'in action'? Is it any good? Can I get it or a similar product cheaper?I don't want block paving and I like gravel. I've got a big area and need paths/ parking space.Any comments/ ideas welcome.CheersPenny

Interesting. We have problems with gravel migrating down slopes. I was recently told that there are chemical based polymers that can be mixed with gravel to make it more stable but I haven't had time to research it.

  • Hi bothThe product when you follow the link in a honeycomb system that firms up gravel and stops it migrating. I'm not fussy on the gravel in resin stuff.

Yes, I followed the link and I think I prefer it to the resin but would like to stop the gradual migration down what is a fairly shallow slope. I like a loose natural surface and this product does not seem to be too permanent. We have had gravel for 40 years and have had to dig up the drive for water and drain repairs as well as the "north sea gas conversion" over the years. No problem with gravel but very disruptive with anything more permanent. Like you though I would like to hear from someone who has tried this honeycomb.

 £16.99 per square metre. Wow. And Plymouths local distributor is in Cheshire. That aside it looks pretty good, but I suspect that the top of the grid would become visible after some use, still it would make it a lot easier to drag my wheelie bin across my gravel path

As you say ScoobieGirl, £17.99 Wow! Way out of my league. Will just have to put up with a bit of raking every now and again.
  • Hi we have used his product , it works really well... but we have also used a better one and it costs a little less try looking up coregravel .co.uk
its a definite improvement because the honeycomb sheets lock together couldnt believe how much difference it made ,.. it really made the ground firm to walk on
