Getting Refund ?? Don't know what to do!

Hi,
I'm new so I am not sure if this is the right forum.
Well, I am 21, I'm self employed and make my money from selling my own handmade cards, cleaning houses and doing market research.
Last week Wednesday I received a payment of £100.00 to my Natwest Bank. I checked my Online Banking which I do daily and noticed £67.74 missing.
I rang up Natwest and they told me that a Company called Cash Locator Services took this money. I understand that they deal with payday loans, which I've never dealt with before.
They are claiming that I gave consent for them to take out £67.74 which I never did. I sent them a letter and have emailed asking them if they have received my letter.
They still said that they haven't received my letter.
It's been over a week now since I posted the letter which mentions my request of getting a refund.
The thing that frustrates me is, how do I know if they had received my letter and are lying to me? What do I do should I contact Natwest and ask them to help?
Or is there any companies that deal with things like this?
It's very unfortunate how this happened, I do understand that I may have entered my Card details somewhere, but it wasn't with Cash Locator Services.
Being self-employed I can't afford to lose money just like that, so it's very hard.
I would appreciate advice, help.

What type of payment was it? Are you sure it was a card payment and not a direct debit/standing order or something along those lines?
What do the payday loan company say this amount is for? To repay a loan? If so, ask to see a copy of agreement/proof they sent you a payment.
It may just be a case of someone supplying the wrong account number when applying for a payday loan themselves. So the first thing to do is to find out whether the money is actually owed or not.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Have you put yourself forward as a guarantor for somebody else's payday loan and that other person has failed to make the repayments?0

How did they get your details, you need to tell the whole story before you can get any advice. You must have been in touch with them at some point, so why?
Sounds like it's a fee for them to try and find you a loan is that the case?0 -

Hi wealdroam,
I have posted this on 2 threads as I was unsure if I posted it in the right place.
Yes it was a card payment, the payment wasn't to repay a loan as I don't have one in the first place. They said the payment was for them finding me a loan which I never got.
I haven't put myself forward as a guarantor.
They said that they go my card details that was forwarded through another website, but they wouldn't them me who.
I applied to a payday loan but was declined. I've never even got a loan.
The story is I needed money for a friends birthday and applied to several loan companies. I was declined, not sure why?? So when I got paid £100.00 last week I saw £67.74 was missing, I called Natwest they told me who the company was. I spoke to the company and they said they received my details through another website but they won't tell me who.
They said to right a letter to request a refund which I have it's been over a week now.
They are claiming that they still don't have my letter.Determined to live the best life! 😃 😍 🌏 🎉 🎆 🎈

Have you applied through a payday loan matching service? Some brokers may charge a premium for their service whether you are approved or not. The fact they are a Cash Service company indicates this may be the case...
Where did you apply for the loans?0 -

It should have been made clear to you at the time if there was a charge for their service. If you can remember where you applied, we could maybe take a look and see if anything about a charge is mentioned. You keep using that word. Stop messing about and tell them to put up or shut up. Send a Recorded Delivery 'Letter Before Action' giving them 7 days to repay your money or prove that you owe it, failing which you will make a County Court claim for your money plus expenses plus court costs plus interest.
That may spark a reaction.0 -
Hi,
Thanks for the replies.
I don't remember if I applied to a payday loan matching service.
I didn't take note of the companies I applied to, but if there was a charge that I needed pay, I would of noticed it, before adding my card details.
I have stopped messing about with payday loans, I've never had any loan before, and probably never want one.
I'm sorry I am bit slow, what is a 'Recorded Delivery'??
I will tell them about taking the company to court, and I find it weird that they don't have an official website.Determined to live the best life! 😃 😍 🌏 🎉 🎆 🎈

Recorded Delivery is what you ask for at the post office when you send your letter. It will be signed for upon delivery so you will know they have received it by checking online and therefore they can't say they didn't receive it and will have to deal with it.0
