Some pension credit advice please?

Hi all,
I'm just asking on behalf of my mum who is now getting her old age pension (as of last November).
She is working full time and gets paid roughly about £800-900 per month (crap i know)! and cannot even cover her rent, council tax and household bills etc.
My younger brother who's 19 lives with her and gives her £200 per month which is her food money for the both of them.
She really isn't able to work full time now as it it's too much for her, so she would like to work part-time if possible.
Now, would she be entitled to pension credits at all? I have been on the site (pensions etc) but I'm so confused by it all and can't get a straight answer.
She is also widowed and gets no widows pension any more, just her wages and my brother's housekeeping.
Any advice gratefully rec'd!
Lisa x

She would not be entitled to Pension Credit Lisa, total income must not be more than £119.05 per week if she is under 65 and single.Your brothers income would only be looked at if she had a mortgage/home loan and was getting help with the interest. She wont get widow,s pension and state pension, but she should have inherited your late Dad,s Basic State Pension(if she has SP in her own right it would only rise to the rate your dad would get), Serps and Graduated Pension and this would be included in her State Pension award.I,m a DWP Pension Credit Decision maker so anything you need to know about PC or State Pension send us a PM.I cant look into individual cases but i can tell you what the law says and what decision i would make in any scenario.
