mortgage redemption figure

I'm due to complete my house sale next Tuesday and alliance and Leicester wouldn't give a redemption figure to my solicitor without our signatures which have now been faxed off today but alliance and Leicester have told me once they receive the signatures it will take up to 48 hours to put it on the system and then 5-7 days to generate a figure to send to my solicitor which will take us over the completion date !
Is there anything I can do to hurry them up !
The funny thing is alliance and Leicester could give me a redemption figure over the phone today and post it out for me to receive by Monday but couldn't send it to my solicitor and my solicitor needs it to come from alliance and Leicester and not me !!!!
How frustrating I can't wait for this to be over
