Kitchen Problems

We ordered a new kitchen from Wren Kitchens and have had numerous problems. In brief, we did not recieve the kitchen we ordered due to an issue with incorrect corner posts being ordered. They did offer us a better spec so we agreed to that. Since then the sink and taps were not as ordered, unit for sink was the wrong size, carousel was ordered but actually Wren do not supply them, damage to drawers and pillister etc etc. In all there were 15+ errors in the goods that were supplied. Add to that the service we recieved, the whole thing took 10 weeks to sort out. It is now finished but we are looking for compensation due to the extra expense in not being able to cook for this length of time and the stress and inconvenience caused to our family of 5. Any advice as to the best way to handle this? Thanks.

I suspect you will struggle with compensation unless you can quantify your losses. I suspect the best you can hope for is a gesture of goodwill.

I will be interested to see what others think.

If you've had to eat out/get takeaways far more than normal because of not being able to use your kitchen, then the receipts for these (you did get them and keep them, didn't you?) would give the quantification and proof you need to claim compensation.
