Apostrophes are used in time expressions such as 2 days' leave.
When it is one measure of time, the apostrophe goes before the s (e.g., one day's pay). When it is more than one measure of time, it goes afterwards (e.g., two days' pay).
The normal rules of grammar don't apply when the subject is time. HTHqueen_of_cheap wrote: »Which one did you choose?
The first one is correct.
Thanks Peeps
My responses were 1 & 2 (had 2 questions to answer where to put the apostrophe) and I can't see that I answered them incorrectly given the explanation.I will be 30 in two years’ time
I will be 29 in one year’s time :huh:0 -

So they are both right then. ie 2 years' time; 1 year's time.
To the OP maybe it was one of the questions where you have to pick the incorrect one rather than the correct one and so they are all correct bar one? I get caught out by those ones.

Cheers for the responses y'all

I am so hoping DD1s baby does not arrive early I have my lists organised for next 3 days and hope I can fit it all in.
I should really be trying to get ahead of myself. But old habits die hard. I only give the impression of being organised behind the scenes everything is chaos. :rotfl:When The Fun Stops Stop0 -
