Nonsense! at no point does it say or even imply the rib is £4 a kilo! It is simply giving the dates it's available...

It is not nonsense (and there is no call for you to be quite so rude about it). There is a clear picture of beef shown, the whole ad is about beef joints and the bit on the botom also refers to beef. I know there is also mention of pork/turkey but that comes in a new sentence after the bit about beef. I can certainly see now what their intention was but they didn't give enough thought to the ad and it does come over with a different meaning and quite a few other people seem to have taken it that way too.

Personally, I was amazed that they seemed to be about to sell prime rib at such a crazy price but strager things have happened. I still think the ad was badly prepared and misleading.

    Afternoon all.

I know it's a pain for parents, but the schools don't really have a choice regarding annominity of pupils.
There are many families who are under protection for there own safety and some unbelievable family circumstances.
As a previous Special School Teacher, I had to deal with many such cases including every type of abuse you could think of.
My priority was to protect the children and this always lead to some disgruntled parents at Concerts and Nativities.
Schools do not make money out of charging for Photos and Videos, at least we didn't.
We provided and made all the Costumes and Scenery, which was a mammoth task each year. Often subsidising the cost ourselves.

Every child got a gift delivered by Santa - my friends Hubby - and they knew when he had arrived because the Caretaker used to climb on the roof and ring a bell.

We also had a fabulous Christmas Dinner.
The hall was arranged with the tables round the sides. Every child made a table decoration in class and they were all put out on the covered tables. Everyone in the school and invited guests ate together and at the end all the dinner staff were presented with a gift for there hard work.
Then they all had their own Christmas Dinner after us.

It doesn't mention premium rib being £4 a kilo...just that it is available on 12th Dec with the pork and turkey being available on 19th Dec...
Thats what I have been thinking since it was first mentioned but lived in hope it would be only £4 per kilo on the 12th :rotfl:

They had it in Makro about 3 weeks back for about £6 per kilo but the joints where £30-£50 if I remember rightly  either way I could not bring myself to buy one.

    Afternoon peeps. :)

Thankyou for all the birthday wishes, but it's not until tomorrow. :o

    :o:o :rotfl::rotfl:

    :)

Just spent several hours cutting up old Christmas cards to make into labels so I can clear this blasted present swamp away :rotfl:

Amazing what you find whilst rummaging... A local newspaper dated 1998 - had to read it of course.. No idea why I had kept it as nothing is relevant to me in it
