Scottish power what a joke

Options
Well i changed from Edf to Scottish march 2015, never heard a thing from them i phoned them after 25 ish mins waiting finally got through was told that they took over my electric on 20 Nov.

So waited for the email asking for meter reads nothing so phoned them again says there was a problem and that they have spoke to the team who does the change over account thingy and within 3 days i will get email asking for meter readings.

Well its now 5 Dec i have had to phone them again the lass on phone says they took over supply on 20 Nov and that i should of received a email asking for meter reading, but as i waited that long on the phone the department who deals with the account change over finished at 5 she could not help, she took my mobile num and says she will speak to them on Monday and then phone me back (mmmm not holding my breath with that).

Am really not happy with Scottish power and wish i just stopped where i was with Edf at least i got 6 cinema tickets off them.

Has any one else had problems changing over

  • I have had a similar problem not related to switching providers but to having my Economy 7 meter replaced with an ordinary meter. This was done in September but despite numerous phone calls and e mails my account is still showing as having an Economy 7 meter. The meter readings (estimated) are completely wrong and much higher than they should be but currently this is what my bills are being based on. I have given them full details of the old meter, the readings that were taken by the engineer when he installed the new meter and the current reading from my new meter. Every time I ring up I am told the problem is being dealt with. I rang on Monday and someone promised to phone me within 5 days - needless to say that didn't happen so I rang again this evening. I had to hold on for nearly an hour only to be told that the matter was being dealt with and should be resolved within 28 days! I think my only option now is to write directly to the CEO and see if that makes any difference. To be fair, I have not encountered problems with the company before but I am afraid this has completely changed my opinion of them. I will be moving suppliers as soon as I am able.
