Budgeting Loans

Hi there !
I applied last week for a Budgeting Loan and phoned today to see how the claim was going and Ive now been told to phone back in 2 weeks time to see if theyve come to a decision.!!!
Apparently theres a backlog (because its near to Christmas) so It will be at least a week after Christmas by the time I probably get a confirmation letter telling me one way or the other how my claim went.
Is any one else experiencing the same problems?

Xmas and family birthdays are triggers for such applications although with family birthdays, that should at least spread them more evenly.

A "take-up" campaign might also result in a spike in applications so it could be something in some areas and not others.

I sent off my form for a loan on Nov 25th and got letter back saying can have it on Dec 11th and sent it back same day so not too bad and hope i get it before Christmas.
