When applying for house insurance does flooding of a cellar have to be declared?

This is for a house I am buying. A few centimetres, a few times in past ten years apparently.

You must disclose this to potential insurers. If you have dates, causes of the flooding, claims values, any preventative measures implemented this will help.

Yes, it must be declared, otherwise you'd be wasting your premium, because if you ever claimed (even if it wasn't flood-related) they could void the policy.We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
