Caribbean in November

At the moment prices do not appear to be cheap in November. the main problem with the cost is the flights, as to both Antigua and Barbaos to my knowledge the only airlines flying from London direct to these destintions are British Airways and Virgin. The price of the flight normally rises the nearer you get to the departure. The hotel prices may come down nearer the time, but not the cost of the flights, unless someone has some other informaton on ths subject.
Thomas Cook are doing charter flights direct from London and Manchester to Antigua, Barbados and St Lucia, you can do flight only or a package, if you do flight only don't forget to add luggage if you want it as its not automatically added on a flight only like it is with a package.0 -
You might expect some sharp heavy showers in November but it is generally sunny. You will be outside the hurricane season. The cost of flights has risen considerably over the past few years and will increase as the departure date gets nearer. The numbers of airlines flying direct from the uk to the Caribbean are only a few. You may be lucky and get a reduced package deal if you leave it later. We much prefer the all inclusive option and then know the cost. Unless your hotel is in a safe area neara town going out to a restaurant can be dodgy from the safety aspects. Usually it is fine walking aroung during the day but you need to more careful after dark.0

Is it only Virgin and British Airways that fly direct to Antigua and Barbados from London (either Gatwick or Heathrow). Do any holiday companies do special deals about 3 months before departure. Any comments or advise will be much appreciated. We would be looking at the second or third week in November. Thank you0

Yes, BA and Virgin are the only ones that fly there from London and Thomas Cook from Manchester.
November is the shoulder month in the Caribbean - the quiet before the storm of the winter holiday season so to speak.
And yes holiday companies do deals in the months leading up to that period, often just weeks beforehand if there are hotel vacances.
It's best just to sign up to all the usual susepcts such as Travel Zoo, Tropical Sky etc for their newsletters and keep monitoring the websites.0 -
I have heard that November can be quite wet in November in both Antigua and Barbados. Is this correct and is it continual rain or just heavy rain for a short period. Has the offical hurricane season finished in November.0

Tropical Sky currently doing some AI deals to The Club Barbados for £949 various dates.
A good 3-star next door to the swanky Sandy Lane Hotel.

We have been to the Caribbean 3 times in the past 3 years on cruises in December. The weather has been foul, warm but foul. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0
