It's been a bit tricky working from a copy/paste, but I've got to this stage:

The Filling inside a teddy bear: Stuffing
Something orange in your stocking: Satsuma
    Colour similar to ivory: Cream
Eat them on a romantic night out:
Think over its warmth, aroma and spiced: Mulled Wine
They Pop up in Belgium: Brussels Sprouts
Cubes of Eastern Promise: Turkish Delight
...roasting on an open fre: Chestnuts
Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons' drink: Sherry
    Don't snap it's spirit: Brandy
Seasonal red fruit accompaniment: Cranberry sauce
Not dessert from Harrogate: Yorkshire Pudding
    Extra-strong post-meal fresheners : After Eight Mints
    Insignificant thing: Trifle
He had a cartoon partner called Roobarb: Custard
They won't make you cry in the jar: Pickled onions
Sounds like they should have beef in them: Mince Pies
Chipolatas on the move: Sausage rolls
Bag of salt and vinegar: Crisps
Prepare it early with marzipan and icing: Christmas Cake
Don't let the smell make you blue: Cheese
    Eurovision bubbly: Bucks Fizz
Is there a sixpence in it?: Christmas pudding
    Bird from Ankara: Turkey

After ticking those off and matching them, the clue I am left with is: Eat them on a Romantic Night out
Then two pictures - chocolate and what looks like chorizo sausage type things

I'd say the chocolate is the thing for a romantic night out so you're left with the chorizos

    HTH :-)

Quickly reading through what you are required to do for this quiz, I'm gathering you need to match a word clue with a picture?

Then 'Not Dessert from Harrogate' should be the pic of the Yorkshire Pudding... ;)

What word clue did you use to match with that?

    hi, yes melli,

    thanks :j
I still don't get the clue about Harrogate & the Yorkshire pudding :o:eek: but trust you :j:A

    I crossed off
'sounds like they should have beef in'
for the Yorkshire pudding as thought roast beef & that went together :D:o

but, now thinking about it that's the 'mince' pies

  • Are the chorizo things 'dates' cos that is what you'd have on a romantic night out?

Harrogate is in North Yorkshire, pudding usually means dessert - A Yorkshire Pudding is savoury (well it is to the rest of the UK, lol) :) so it's Not a dessert from Yorkshire

Thanks so much for recognising the dates fire**fly!!! I just saw them as chorizo sausages, lol! Shows how often I eat them, lol :rotfl:
