According to my oh, because the tickets were free, they are not obligated to show the event.

Hay, I just clicked on Thanking You instead of replying - just incase you are wondering why you got a thank you then! Mind you, for your few choice words about ebay sellers you deserve a thank you!!!!!

I think that if they had to cancel they'd try to reschedule it later on surely? And those of us who gave their tickets away will feel daft!:p

I think its only fair that if it was to be rescheduled, then the people who received tickets from other people on here, should offer them back as they might be able to go to the rescheduled one. Thats what I would do anyway.
  • I've been an avid reader of the forum for many months but this is my first post, so excuse me if I've done anything wrong.
I was one of the lucky ones who registered promptly at 10am on the day the Jump Up tickets went on sale and have been waiting patiently for them to arrive.
On Friday of last week I contacted Nick Jr via email to ask when they might be sending out the tickets and was told they would be sent out that evening.

Several days later still no sign so I telephoned them, to be advise that they couldn't find my details and sadly all tickets had been sent out.
Despite receiving a confirmation email from Nick Jr confirming four tickets for 9am on Saturday this didn't count for anything.
I now have two very disappointted children who have been dreaming of meeting their favourite Nick Jr character Dora the Explorer.
I just wondered whether anyone else had experienced a similiar problem after receiving a confirmation email.

Thanx for the thanx clairegwen, & your welcome.
I agree with the wrong doing of selling these tickets on ebay:mad:
Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach that person to
use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks.:D

You reckon any of these sellers have kids?Or if they do do any of them live on very little spare cash once the bills are paid?Actually probably not eh because they seem intent on making ££s no matter how they do it:rolleyes:
These events are FREE but ebayer sellers take loads of the available tickets to make money.Poor families who missed out feel pressured to pay stupid prices because their kids so desperately want to go.It makes me sick it seriously does!!!Just like the pontins deals where loads ended up on ebay.
I appreciate that these deals may present themselves as an opportunity to make a fast buck but for heavens sake you're ripping people off...arrrrrrghhh!!
Can you tell it's REALLY bugging me?

Well there's a difference really.Mums or dads who originally rang to get free tickets then find they can't go right? They offer them out like loads of us have because, well,it's the right thing to do.Because we know that if we'd missed out but our kids wanted to go a nice gesture from a stranger could make their day:D .

But then you get people with NO intention of going, that ring purely to get tickets to sell on.They were never ever going to go just wanted to make ££s from others.Makes me so mad.I KNOW people have to make money but seriously not in this way~it's crap:mad:
