Sky contract or not?

I recently placed an order with Sky. having been a customer for 2.5 years I needed to get my bill down. I don't use the T.V enough to justify the cost so I said I wanted to leave to get a cheaper deal elsewhere.
I was offered half price line rental plus Sky Unlimited broadband and Sky talk weekends for £7.50 (so a total of £15.00 per month). I accepted this. My Sky TV was to be deactivated 'with immediate effect' on the 17/11/13, with the broadband and phone active from 03/12/13.
The day after this package was activated I noticed that Sky TV was still active. I phoned them and, indeed, it was. I was also being charged for this. I complained, got a refund for the 2 weeks TV and asked for my MAC code. I couldn't believe the underhand way they gave me service I didn't want.
My question is: If I leave, am I breaking the 12 month contract, or am I entitled to leave as they have provided unwanted goods?

There was a mistake they rectified. That's no reason to break a contract.0

Changing to a cheaper deal may have meant a new contract. They should have told you about it.
But they forgot to turn the TV off and have now done so and refunded any costs. So where is the problem?
You need to find out if you agreed a new contract. If you did using that MAC code could be costly.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
