Real-life MMD: Should I claim for train delay?

It mentions here that you will get vouchers, not cash, so there should be no dilemma, it's not real money, no-one gets hurt! It is a small compensation though for your inconvenience. Definitely take it and enjoy a (slightly) cheaper journey ion the future :j0

To those people who have made disgusting comments about how selfish people are to jump under trains I hope you never have a family member who has fought depression for many, many years and finally gave up the battle this year. She did not want to die but really could see no other way out. They are NOT selfish, they are in total despair, if you can't say something nice, say NOTHING and keep your intolerant feelings to yourself
I am very sorry your family has been affected in this way. However, I agree with the posters who said how horrible it is for the train drivers and rescue services to deal with the gruesome outcome, as well as the inconvenience to innocent commuters, and think that however despairing people are, there was a time when they had choices available and by taking this action have made the wrong one. It is always the ones left behind who suffer the consequences, whether family, innocent bystanders or hard-working emergency personnel.
Please understand, while I am sympathetic to the obvious strong emotions you are experiencing about your family's sad situation, I speak as someone who has ongoing issues with severe mental health illness in my immediate family, and do not think the views expressed, both mine and the other posters', are intolerant. Just honest personal opinions.0
