Hi can anyone help us please, we have just received a parking fine notice from NPE for the “offence” of parking outside a parade of shops near the KFC on Dereham road. I pulled off the road and parked in front of a shop that was closed whilst I went to the KFC. I hadn’t left the car for more than 10 minutes and as the shop I parked by was shut I was not in any way impeding the operation of the business. There was no ticket on my car. I didn't spot the parking restriction signs. I have looked through the forum and many people have suggested that we use the template letter to make an appeal. I can not find this template letter or a link to it could anyone please explain how I can find the template that I am looking for. We only have a few days left to appeal and need to get this sorted ASAP.

Use the FORUM JUMP on the right, and click GO. Read the 'NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST!' thread stuck near the top of this forum. I will NOT give a link because that doesn't help you find your way around! Hi, we just received a parking charge notice for the same location, the driver parked for only 14 minutes to visit KFC, but the keeper received a PCN
this one is different as it appears NPE have installed CCTV on the wilco garage opposite. and the PCN has 2 photos of the car, as well as a link
showing the car, the sign does state that you must not park there to visit KFC and that you cannot park when the shop is closed, the photo was taken at 7.11pm
have they worded this one so tighly that they have the driver bang to rights?

BUT - you need to get rid of links to car photos, which show your VRN and, presumably, your father. Get rid of those now!
ANOTHER BUT - this is an old thread belonging to another poster, so open a new one of your own, then I'll post in the link for you - newbies can't post links until past a dozen or so posts. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. About 2 years ago, I had exactly the same thing happen to me in the same place. As the parking restriction signs are not clearly visible and I was not impacting trade, there is no legal obligation to pay the fine. In fact, they shouldn't even issue with it in the first place, due to those two circumstances. However, do not ignore the letters. Do reply. Mine was cancelled. There are some templates on the Internet for parking ticket cancellation notices that are pretty good and helpful. Hope this helps if you haven't already sorted it.0

Why are you resurrecting a thread that has been dormant for 9 months and was first opened some 2.5 years ago? Things move so quickly in the private parking game, reopening a thread this old can cause difficulties for the naive/unwary.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
