Varying a court order

Does anyone know how you go about this and how much it is?

There is a contact order in place and I want it reducing.

I am the parent with care and residency.

You'd have to have a really good reason for the reduction I would think...?

It can be done if it's to the benefit of the child to do so.

You'd have to go back to the court with your reasons and ask them.

You have to request a new order. What did you do the first time to have this heard in court? Do it again one assumes.

If both parties agree, it should be simple and not cost too much.

If you don't, then you are back to square one and must observe the existing order in the mean time. The court made an order in the best interests of a child and unless something has changed significantly you will have a difficult argument to persuade a court to make a different order.
