lloyds tsb ppi claim phone call

Hi,
Hope somebody can help, I sent away my letters for three lloyds tsb account ppi reclaims, I then got questionnaires to fill out which I havent got round to sending off yet. I then got a phone call off lloyds today looking into five account reclaims, I only put forward three, so not sure what the other two are, but they put you on the spot and asked me a few questions which were:-
1. If I had been employed, who by and the dates, I couldnt give accurate dates as I was put on the spot and I didnt have the dates too hand.
2. If I had any breaks in employment which I didnt
3. What benefits package/redundancy package that I had, which was 6 months full and 6 months half pay
4. death benefit - how much it was 3 x my salary

I felt like I was put on the spot and asked them to call back when I was a bit more prepared, but he said that he had the information that he needed and a letter would be coming in the post. I dont feel very positive at all after the phone call.

Has anybody else had these phone calls, and if so what kind of outcome can I expect?

If my claim is rejected, can I appeal?

Thanks

All you can do is wait to be honest.

If you told the truth as you remember it then that's all you can do.

If yo don't agree with any of their decisions, you can always refer it to the ombudsman, depending on when they were.

They are required not only to look at your complaint but also any other things that could fall under the sale. Maybe you had other borrowing. Maybe there was linked lending or what appears to be linked lending (e.g. one loan paid off and another immediately taken out)
    1. If I had been employed, who by and the dates, I couldnt give accurate dates as I was put on the spot and I didnt have the dates too hand.

Specific dates are not important unless it is close to point of sale.

It is not a claim. It is a complaint. If you disagree with their review of your complaint then you can provide them evidence to support your views that counter their rejection and ask them to look again or you can refer it to the FOS.

Whilst you may feel you were not prepared, most people would have a good enough memory to recall enough details about the questions asked to meet their needs. Indeed, it would be more suspicious if they dont.
